We grow both seeded and seedless watermelons, in rows spaced 10' from the center with 2.5' between each plant. Seeded plants are pollinators and used every fourth plant. Seeded melons are not as popular due to their shorter shelf life. Seedless melons have a longer shelf life, bruise less easily, fit in the refrigerator better, and cause much less seed spitting.

The varieties we use are:

Summer Flavor 800 (pollinators)
Super seedless: 7167, 7197, 7187
Liberty (also seedless)
